Programmes & Classes

Our Learn to Swim programme is separated into two areas. Private & Joint Private Classes for young children learning the fundamental water awareness and swimming skills, and Group Classes for children who have mastered those key fundamentals.

WDS-SwimClasses

Private & Joint Private Classes

We believe in nurturing a childs love of water and learning in the early stages of development… Early swim lessons set a positive foundation towards a lifetime of participation & enjoyment in a variety of water sports and experiences on, in and around water.

We offer private and joint private lessons for children who are not yet able to competently stroke. These classes operate year round from a private heated pool in North Bondi. Baby & Me classes also operate from this pool. Bookings for these classes are only made on a monthly basis.

Class Times

  • Monday: 9am-12pm
  • Monday: 3pm-6pm
  • Tuesday: 9am-12pm
  • Thursday: 9am-12pm

Programme Levels

1. Baby & Me

  • Maximum 3 babies/class
  • 30 minute class
  • 5 months to 2.5 years

By working together with parents we will help children as young as 5 months of age to learn to have fun, love the water and become comfortable in the aquatic environment.

The younger a child can begin their aquatic adventure, the sooner they will be able to build a foundation for the ability to perform ongoing age appropriate water safety and survival skills. The basis of our program is on the development of duration in the water as a safety strategy.

Introducing your baby to our quality early aquatic programme not only offers them a greater chance of survival in a potential drowning incident and an opportunity for them to bond with their parents, but also many other valuable benefits.
