Gerry, the founder of Who Dares Swims, is a certified provider through Autism Swim, the international peak body for inclusive aquatics. This organization specializes in wandering and drowning prevention for individuals on the autism spectrum and those with special learning needs. Tragically, children on the autism spectrum are 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers, which fuels Gerry’s commitment to providing swimming lessons that aim to reduce this alarming statistic for local families. Her expertise benefits not only students diagnosed with ASD but all children. One-on-one swimming lessons are available for students with ASD at our venues in Bondi, Rose Bay, and Waverley. Additionally, we offer home swimming lessons within the Eastern Suburbs for families who prefer the convenience of their own heated pools, making our school holiday programs accessible to everyone.
