SWIM PROGRAMS

We believe in nurturing a child’s love of water and learning in the early stages of development. Early swim lessons set a positive foundation towards a lifetime of participation and enjoyment in a variety of water sports and experiences on, in and around water.

Private and group class operate on a school term basis, all swim school fees are paid in advance on a term basis. Make up lessons can be provided subject to availability and all Term fees are non-refundable.

Learn to float first then Swim

Our philosophy within our Early Learn to Swim Classes is based on the principle that unassisted floating is critical to ‘the learn to swim’ process. We do not use flotation aids in any of our classes, children are always assisted and guided by the instructor about the awareness and feel of water.

It is vital that children should learn the feel of their own buoyancy and be able to experience that fun, floating sensation before propulsion is taught. Learning to swim without flotation devices also teaches children a respect for the water.

Technical Tuition

Our specialised early swim program will nurture and grow your child’s confidence in the water. We have a small team of highly trained instructors that have undergone extensive in-house training to supplement their Austswim and Swim Australia accreditations.

30 minute group classes are available for children that have developed the key fundamentals of floating, streamlining, kicking, and introduction of strokes.

Adult Lessons

Adult Swim lessons are available for non-swimmers/ beginner level through to stroke correction.

We guarantee to improve your technique and efficiency in the water.

Private or semi-private lessons available.

INTERMEDIATE GOLDFISH

BEGGINER GOLDFISH

Parent /baby group and private lesson options

5+ months

By working together with parents we will help children as young as 5 months of age to learn to have fun, love the water and become comfortable in the aquatic environment.

The younger a child can begin their aquatic adventure, the sooner they will be able to build a foundation for the ability to perform ongoing age appropriate water safety and survival skills. The basis of our program is on the development of duration in the water as a safety strategy.

Introducing your baby to our quality early aquatic programme not only offers them a greater chance of survival in a potential drowning incident and an opportunity for them to bond with their parents, but also many other valuable benefits.

Our focus is on the following skills:

  • Positioning  & holds
  • Breath  control
  • Submersions
  • Floating
  • Rolling  & turning
